BMC updates for compliance with California Senate Bill 327 (SB327)
To equip our devices with reasonable security features to comply with California's Senate Bill No. 327, which took effect on January 1st 2020, new BMC firmware packages have been issued which require users to change their password after logging into their BMC for the first time.
Description:
- Upgrade code base to AMI R12. ( File size change to 64MB)
- REDFISH 1.8 support.
Only socflash utility can be used for BMC firmware v4.08 upgrade due to the different binary file size. Future BMC firmware upgrade can be done via yafuflash/socflash/Web UI once BMC firmware has been successfully upgraded to v4.08
Important!
The BMC firmware v4.08 requires 64MB BMC flash space. Deploy BMC firmware v4.08 to earlier TN83-B8251 system with 32MB BMC flash shall cause permanent system failure and the system cannot be revived in the field.
Please be sure to check the S/N of your TN83-B8251 system by reading FRU data before updating to BMC firmware v4.08!
